The Cooperation and Management Agreement between RedCLARA and LA Referencia formalizes the institutional relationship that gave origin and operational support to the Network. Through this agreement, RedCLARA provides administrative, financial, and technological support to LA Referencia, as well as legal representation before third parties when approved by its Board of Directors. This agreement ensures the proper implementation of the network’s activities and transparency in its management, consolidating a long-term collaboration aimed at strengthening Open Science in the region.
The alliance between RedCLARA, LA Referencia, and Redalyc strengthens a regional Open Science ecosystem that integrates the “green route” of institutional repositories and the “diamond route” of Open Access scientific journals. The agreement promotes metadata interoperability, the development of open-source software, and the creation of regional public goods that support national Open Science policies across Latin America, enhancing the visibility and assessment of regional scientific production.
The framework agreement with LATINDEX aims to strengthen interoperability among repositories, journals, and Ibero-American scientific information systems. Through this collaboration, the integration of metadata from Open Access journals is promoted, along with the joint development of open-source software and the creation of metrics and indicators based on Open Science principles, contributing to the consolidation of a regional ecosystem of high-quality scientific information.
The Memorandum of Understanding with the Research Data Alliance (RDA) establishes collaboration mechanisms to strengthen research data management and exchange in Latin America. The alliance seeks to promote the adoption of good data management practices, regional participation in international working groups, and the visibility of the Latin American scientific community in global forums on Open Science and research data.
This joint project between the Research Data Alliance (RDA), the Research Software Alliance (ReSA), and LA Referencia promotes Open Science in Latin America and the Caribbean, with an emphasis on research data and software management. Through workshops, seminars, and outreach activities, it seeks to strengthen regional capacities and connect the Latin American community with international research data and software networks.
LA Referencia and Instituto Interamericano para la Investigación del Cambio Global (IAI)
The Memorandum of Understanding between LA Referencia and the IAI (Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research) promotes cooperation in Open Science and the strengthening of regional capacities to address global change. The alliance fosters information exchange, the development of training programs, and the pursuit of joint funding for initiatives that enhance sustainability and open access to research outcomes in Latin America and the Caribbean.
