The Colombian Network of Scientific Information is the Open Science strategy of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, aimed at providing the country with a management model that coordinates the efforts of actors within the National System of Science, Technology, and Innovation. It aligns with the National Open Science Policy, promoting access to scientific knowledge and open research data, encouraging the use and appropriation of Colombian scientific production and the national scientific knowledge heritage.
The Network serves as the National Node responsible for consolidating and making the country’s scientific information visible through the definition of policies, guidelines, and services for access to scientific knowledge. It also acts as Colombia’s Node for participation in projects involving information exchange, scientific data, and international Open Science initiatives.
